5 Simple Steps to Move Agents

Maltbys guide to the process of moving agents:

Check your current terms of business (Letting Agent Contract) for any cancellation notice period/fees applicable
Find a letting agent that offers the services you need to successfully manage your property/properties
Inform your current Letting Agent that you wish to terminate your agreement and advise them of who the new Letting Agents are. Request for them to prepare a file of all relevant paperwork and keys
Notify your new Letting Agent that you have given notice to terminate your agreement to the current agent. Your new property manager will make the necessary arrangements to collect the file and all relevant paperwork and keys and ensure the deposit is transferred and registered in the TDS.
Your tenants will be welcomed by your new property manager. He/she will advise them on maintenance and inspection procedures. He/she will ensure that the tenant transfers their rental payment to the correct account. The first inspection will be arranged immediately where the tenants can meet us and highlight any concerns.
